The Story of the Two Wolfs

I love this Cherokee parable:

An old man told his grandson:

“My precious child, there are two wolves inside us.”

“One is the bad wolf. He is angry, jealous, greedy, arrogant and resentful.”

“The other is the good wolf. He is calm, grateful, contented, humble and kind. “

“Every day, every moment, inside all of us, these two wolfs fight endlessly.”

The grandson pondered for a little while.

“Grandpa, which wolf wins?”

The old man smiled.

“The one that you feed.”

I have, indeed realized that my own thoughts have been my worst enemy. I have been misled more by my irrationally, my insidious emotions, my own Bad Wolf, than the lies told by the others.
