I love this Zen story:
A man is riding a horse which is galloping quickly. He seems to be going somewhere very important.
Another man, who is looking by the side of the road, shouted:
“Hey! Where are you going?”
“I don’t know!” the man shouted back. “Ask the horse!”
I think that pretty much sums up our lives. We are riding a horse which we cannot control. We may think we are going somewhere, but we don’t know where, and why.
